Getting to Know Us
Home Solutions of WNY, Inc. was founded in 2005 when Jamie Shaner and Lynn Clark decided to turn their talents and passion into a business. They view their organizational skills, boundless energy and sense of fun as invaluable tools for serving their clients.
Both women started their professional careers in banking, with a combined total of twenty years in the industry. Organizing their clients' finances was the foundation for their continuing desire to help people bring order into their personal lives.
Lynn Clark received her training as a professional stager in 2003 through Barbara Schwarz, the nationally recognized founder of the staging industry.
Lynn is a passionate animal lover, having spent six years as a Buffalo Zoo Docent and three years volunteering at Lothlorien, a therapeutic horseback riding center for the handicapped. Lynn volunteered for many years at the SPCA as a wildlife rehabilitator.
Jamie Shaner obtained an organizing certificate from the Organizer Training Academy in 2006.
For many years Jamie ran her own company which provided office and organizational services to area businesses. Jamie was employed for 12 years as an accountant with a local CPA firm in Snyder.
In The Community
In December 2011, Jamie was named to the board of the Mental Health Association of Erie County, Inc.
In past years, Lynn and Jamie both served on the membership committee of NAWBO - the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Jamie and Lynn were accepted into the 2010 Allstate Minority & Women Emerging Entrepreneurs Program, which is run by the UB School of Management's Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
Home Solutions presented seminars on home organizing and home staging from the main stage of the Home and Garden Show in Buffalo, NY in 2007 and 2009.
